It's a small knife, 4 inches, but then I'm only 5'7 and 4 " is plenty. Good balance, enough belly on the blade to work, but best of all for me is that the blade extends right up to the guard, which means it's suitable for camp kitchen chores as well as life's other moments. Santa found this one for me as a surprise. A local shop stocks CRK material, along with some other quality names -- Kentucky Outdoorsman. I like the Shadow 1.
