The Generation 2 Spearpoint from Strider was available in a Stonewash finish on the blade and the framelock. Strider never made too many of these after this, as it seems to be less popular amongst the tactical crowd. I really like the way the stonewash looks and keeps it looking unique amongst all the other Striders out there.

The spearpoint model is a bit more versatile than the tanto, in my opinion. I’ve found that it is a great carry knife and doesn’t draw quite as much attention as the heat-coloured titaninium of some other models out there.

This generation still has not inherited the bull pivot unfortunately, but it is still an incredibly strong knife nonetheless. Same S30V steel with Paul Bos heat treatment and stamping, which as I’ve been told, is no longer on new Striders. The full flat grind slices very well, and I’ve had no trouble at all bringing the edge to hair-popping sharp.

Integral backspacer and handle slab make it extremely strong, very thick framelock with great handle ergonomics.. you can feel the lock in your grip and it assures you that it is not going to slip. Fantastic retention with a small neck make the knife easy to handle in self-defense situations as well.
